LOCATION
Enjoy peace and quiet in the heart of the city when you stay at this first class hotel located near Hötorget with most things within walking distance: shopping facilities, entertainment, sightseeing, the Central Station. The hotel was built in 1982-84 and offers a high standard with a traditional, international style. The hotel is only 400 m from the Central Station and City Coach Terminal with coaches to Arlanda, Bromma, and Skavsta Airports; 100 m from underground stations Hötorget and T-centralen; 50 m from nearest taxi rank; and 50 m from indoor parking facilities in the Hötorget Garage (discount tickets for our guests).
ACCOMMODATION
The Rica Hotel Stockholm offers 292 modern rooms with 486 beds. Single, double, and grandlit rooms. All rooms are equipped with toilet, shower/bath, hair dryer, trouser press, radio, cable/pay TV, and telephone. All double rooms have a minisafe. Rooms for non-smokers and disabled guests also available. All rooms also have smoke detectors and peepholes in the doors.
DINING
The hotel has its own lunch restaurant where good Swedish homely fare is served on weekdays. Dinners can be served for groups of guests but must be ordered in advance. The area around the hotel features a wide range of restaurants, from very simple to the most exclusive. Kungshallen and Hötorgshallen offer many exiting experiences in a "market hall environment". We co-operate with a number of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Most of Stockholm's night-clubs, pubs, and discotheques are within easy walking distance.
LEISURE
There is a sauna in the hotel and we co-operate with a fitness center close by. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools. A number of fine golf courses are available in the Stockholm area. Across the street from the hotel is the Cinema Filmstaden Sergel where 10 to 15 different films are shown every day.
MEETING FACILITIES
The hotel offers conference facilities in a pleasant environment with personal service. Seven conference rooms all with modern equipment, suitable for 10 to 90 persons. Lunch and coffee for conference guests are served in our Winter Garden.
